Square Developer provides SCA support
Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is a new requirement from the European Financial Conduct Authority. SCA requires additional information from the buyer to complete customer-initiated online and mobile payments to reduce online fraud. Earlier this month, we released updates in Square APIs that enable developers to implement solutions compliant with SCA. It includes:
- Updates to the Square Transactions and Payments APIs
- Updates to Square Payment Form (Online Payments)
- Updates to the In-App Payments SDK
