  • What’s included in each of the three pricing plans?

    All three Square for Restaurants plans include fast order entry, menu and order management, open checks, auto-gratuity, remote device management, multilocation management, and phone support M–F, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. PT.

    With the Square for Restaurants Plus plan you get access to close-of-day reports, course and seat management, floor plan customization, advanced reporting, and live sales reports. With Square for Restaurants Plus you can also use unlimited Square KDS devices at no additional cost. Finally, your Square for Restaurants Plus plan comes with 24/7 phone support for the moments that matter.

    Square for Restaurants Premium subscribers get everything in the Square for Restaurants Plus plan as well as software for unlimited Square Kiosk devices (currently in beta) at no additional cost.

  • Is Square KDS included in Square for Restaurants Plus?

    Yes, the Square KDS app is available with the Square for Restaurants Plus subscription ($69 per month per location + $50 per month per additional POS device), with no additional cost per KDS display. The Square KDS app is also available at no additional cost with the Square for Restaurants Premium subscription ($165 per month per location + $50 per month per additional POS device). Square KDS hardware is sold separately and can be purchased through the Square Shop.

  • Is hardware included?

    Hardware is not included with your Square for Restaurants subscription. You can shop for compatible kits and devices at the Square Shop to find hardware that suits your needs. Contact our sales team for hardware discount offers (eligibility applies). Square for Restaurants plans are compatible with iPad added to a Square Stand or with Square Register and industry kitchen printers, receipt printers, cash drawers, and routers. You may be able to use your existing hardware.

  • How do I switch from Square Point of Sale to a Square for Restaurants plan?

    You can switch from Square Point of Sale to the Square for Restaurants Free or Square for Restaurants Plus plans by subscribing here. To upgrade to the Square for Restaurants Premium plan, contact our sales team. You’ll be able to use your existing features and setup. The only new setup will be for added functionality that’s included with your Square for Restaurants plan.

  • How do I upgrade or downgrade my Square for Restaurants plan?

    You can upgrade from the Square for Restaurants Free plan to the Square for Restaurants Plus plan by subscribing to it here. You’ll be able to utilize all existing features and setup. The only new setup will be for the added functionality that’s included with your upgrade. After your 30-day free trial, you’ll be charged $69 per month per location. If you choose not to subscribe, you’ll be downgraded to the Square for Restaurants Free plan, and you can continue to use the Square Restaurant POS system or choose to use Square Point of Sale.
