What is the minimum wage in New Jersey for 2024?

Effective January 1, 2024, New Jersey’s minimum wage will increase to $15.13 per hour for most employees, which is $7.88 more than the current federal minimum wage.

However, there are exceptions:

Overtime work for non-salaried employees is required in New Jersey and must be paid as time and a half. However, employers are not obligated to pay overtime for weekends and holidays.
