Sohrab Bakshi: If you ask me what is my favorite color, I can't tell you what is my favorite color. I have a favorite palette. Sohrab Bakshi. As a kid, I always gone to junk store as they called them in Tehran, and I always was curious about bringing something back to its original form. When it came to New York and it was very colorful to me, there was a feeling of freedom. Atlantic Avenue was a mecca for antiques.
When I opened cityFoundry in September of 2000, I found my calling. It's rewarding to create a story from these objects, whether it's a chair that you can sit on or light that will help you read.
Claudia Cuseta: I met Sohrab when I was trying to furnish my new place in Brooklyn, but I wound up dating the owner instead.
Sohrab Bakshi: Hi.

Claudia Cuseta: I am Claudia Cuseta, part owner and manager of cityFoundry. We meet fantastic people. Whether it's somebody coming in off of the street who famous people to artists, they understand the value of it. The vintage community is a very, very colorful community.
Sohrab Bakshi:It's really very rewarding to interact with interesting customers, and there's a refreshing group of youngsters coming in with good enthusiasm.
Claudia Cuseta: The history of an object is so rich. It's a pleasure to be surrounded by these things, to find them and learn about them, and to impart that to our customers.
