On the Eastside Beltline, movement and connection blur together. People walk, talk, and pause at the storefronts that line Inman Park’s streets. The neighborhood has its own quiet pulse, shaped by the people and businesses that fill it. The Self Care Lab and Square came together to celebrate that everyday rhythm.
Square started See You in the Neighborhood to recognize local businesses as the heartbeat of their communities. In Atlanta, that heartbeat takes the form of The Self Care Lab walk, led by Imani Murray and with a special edition co-hosted by Atlanta influencer Kirah Ominique. The experience connects wellness, self-expression, and small business ownership through a route that invites people to slow down and appreciate the neighborhood that sustains them.
A Neighborhood Built on Care
The Self Care Lab launched in 2024 on National Self-Care Day with a mission to help people prioritize self-love and well-being. Through pop-ups and workshops, the Lab brings wellness to everyday spaces and highlights the positive impact of small acts of care. Partnering with Square extends that mission to the neighborhood level, connecting individuals with local sellers who share the same values of creativity, wellness, and community.
Self-care looks just like this. Getting outside, exploring, romanticizing my neighborhood, so that we can build community in Atlanta, and it’s just a beautiful thing to see.”
Kirah Ominique
The three-mile Self Care Lab Walk follows a route through Inman Park and the Eastside Beltline Trail, beginning at Little Tart Bakeshop inside Krog Street Market and ending near Auburn Avenue. Each stop features a local business that contributes to the city’s collective rhythm.
