Peter Dario: Dear Dad, it's been a really long year here. When I dropped you off at the hospital that day, my deepest regret was not saying goodbye to you. I thought it was just take care. See you back home. You fought so hard and I miss you. But we'll see each other again. For now, go and eat all the sisig and junk food that you haven't been able to eat, and go ahead and bet on the horses mom's not stopping you anymore.

After we lost you and grandpa the same week, we didn't know how to grieve. We started buying tons of plants, filling the house and surrounding ourselves with greenery and new life. They helped us find peace. They helped us heal.

Mom and Lola are doing great and I'm still cutting hair just like Lola taught me. I have some good news too. I opened up my own plant shop and I filled it with life.

I could feel your spirit with me. It pushes us all forward. I love you, dad. See you back home.

My name is Peter Dario. I'm a Filipino-American entrepreneur and the proud owner of Terrace Plant Shop. Our shop is a symbol for everyone that no matter how hard life gets, we must keep pushing forward. We must keep growing.
