Think of the email that you receive from brands. You’re most likely to be left with a warm and fuzzy feeling with the brands that make the extra effort. Your welcome email should ideally make your customers feel the same way.
It starts with a simple thank you. Thank your customers for their first purchase, and let them know that it’s just the beginning. You’re grateful for their business, and you should let them know as much. You could also give them some additional details about your business to encourage them to come back for more.

Start a conversation
Your very first email is also a great time to ask for feedback and start a conversation. Let customers know you’re listening from the get go, and that their opinion matters to you.
A welcome email is also a great time to set expectations about future marketing communications. Will you send something for their birthday? Keep them in the loop with new product offerings? Or let them know when your big annual sale is held? A brief heads up goes a long way and lets customers know that you care about them and their time.
