Get started with Square Reader
To start accepting eftpos chip cards at your business you’ll need the Square Reader for contactless and chip.
Square Reader allows you to accept all major cards, both tap and chip. You can take contactless cards, mobile payments (like Apple or Google Pay) and even NFC enabled devices like smartwatches.
Square Reader is available with free delivery across Australia from our online shop, or via over 1,000 retailers across Australia.
1.6% card present rate applies for Square Sellers who sign up on or after 30 May 2024. The rate of 1.9% will apply for Square Sellers who signed up prior to this date when using Square Reader, Square Stand or Tap to Pay, as listed in the Square Fee Schedule.
