FAQ

  • How is the amount calculated?

    Since our processing fees are taken out of the entire amount of the transaction (including tax and tips), you’re not able to just add the exact fee amount to the sale price. The additional cost has to incorporate the percent that will be subtracted for fees, as well. We keep this in mind when making an item price recommendation.

  • How do I create an item?

    You can easily create and manage items. To do so from the Point of Sale App:

    1. From the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen, tap More > Items.
    2. Tap Create Item. Enter the item details. To determine an item’s price at checkout, leave the price field blank.
    3. Tap Save.

    To do so from the Square Dashboard:

    1. Visit Items in your dashboard.
    2. Click Item Library > Create Item and enter your item information.
    3. Click Save.
