Add Items and Categories to Square Online in the Overview Page
With Square Online item sync, items synced to Square Online from your Square Item Library can be changed to several different item types and displayed on your site as needed. In this article, we’ll review how to add and manage site items and categories from the Overview page in your Dashboard.
Note: You can also add and edit items from the Square Online Overview page in your Dashboard for additional tools not found in the Overview page. Learn more about adding an item and category to Square Online in the Square Online site editor.

Item Types and Visibility

Create a New Item
Understanding the section above, you can now create a new item in the Square Online Overview page by going to Items > Site Items and selecting Create new item. You can also select Add item and choose an option to either add existing items from your Square Item Library to the specific site you're viewing, or import new items to Square Online and your entire Square item catalog. Complete the following actions when setting up your item:
When finished setting up your site item, select Save.
Create, View, and Edit Categories
To create, view, and edit the categories in your Square account, be sure to navigate to your Square Item Library. Learn more about creating and managing item categories.
Delete Items and Categories
If you need to remove an item from your site or delete it from you Square item catalog completely, go to the Site Items page and use the bulk editing method to remove or delete the items. Learn more about item management between multiple sites in your Square account.
If you need to delete a site category, go to your Square Item Library.
Import and Export Items
Importing or exporting your items will need to be done from Square Item Library. Learn more about item importing and exporting.
