Betas are tests of upcoming Square features before they’re released, to help identify areas of improvement for these new products and tools. In the Square Beta Programme, the Beta Team selects testers across all types of businesses, including restaurants, retail, services, health and beauty, and more. Your feedback directly helps us build the right products with your business top of mind. The Square development process starts small and uses feedback along with other insights to plan its future.

What to expect from the Square Beta Team
Beta Selection:
Invitations: The Beta Team will invite you to join betas through Beta Community posts or via email. Just follow the specific instructions in the post or email to be included. Betas typically begin 1-3 weeks after we send invitations.
Pre-qualified: For some Beta projects, we skip the invitation process and hand-pick sellers to include based on specific criteria. These tests typically involve features that will be available to all Square Sellers soon and have a zero-to-low risk of disrupting day-to-day business.
Support:
Content: We’ll provide steps and details about the feature in the invitation email and the Beta Community when it’s available. We often publish a support article as well, outlining how to get started with this feature and tips and tricks to improve your experience.
Questions: The Beta team is available to answer any questions about a beta feature in the Beta Community or by email.
