Get Started With Appointments for Individuals

If you’re using Square Appointments for individual use, you can access all of the Appointments features — with absolutely no monthly subscription fee. You’ll only pay Square’s standard processing fee when you accept your client’s card for payment.

To start using Appointments for Individuals:

  1. Visit Appointments in your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Click Get Started.
  3. Provide the requested business and personal information. This information will be reflected in your public profile and online booking site.
  4. Create services by providing the requested service details > click Continue. Services are chosen by your clients at the time of booking.
  5. Preview your public Square booking page. And when you’re ready, click Publish to complete.

Sign Up for Appointments for Teams

  1. Visit Appointments in your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Click Get Started.
  3. Provide the requested business and personal information. This information will be reflected in your public profile and online booking site.
  4. Click Staff. Once you add a staff member, you’ll start your 30 day free trial for Appointments for Teams. Your monthly subscription will be determined by the number of active staff associated with your account.
  5. Create services by providing the requested service details > click Continue. Services are chosen by your clients at the time of booking.
  6. Preview your public Square booking page. And when you’re ready, click Publish to complete sign-up.

Appointments for Teams Free Trial

While there is no monthly fee for using Square Appointments for Individuals, when you add staff to your account for booking, you’ll be charged a subscription fee depending on the number of staff you have.

Try staff management with Appointments for Teams free of charge for 30 days to see if this option is the right fit for your business. No payment information is required to get started. After the trial ends, you’ll have the option to subscribe to continue accessing Square Appointments for Teams features.

Note: If you’ve signed up for a free trial and you wish to cancel the service, you will need to wait the full 30 days for the trial to complete. To ensure you’re not charged the Square for Teams monthly fee, just deactivate your staff and associated employee profiles to return your account to the Square for Individuals state.

Pricing for Square Appointments

Pay one flat monthly rate for Square Appointments. If you subscribe mid-month, you’ll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the month. Your rate depends on your number of staff members associated with your account. If you’re using Square for Teams to manage staff, your processing rate for card-present transactions will be 2.5% + $0.10 per transaction.

  • Individual use: Free
  • 2 to 5 staff: $50 per month and 2.5% + $0.10 processing fee
  • 6 - 11 staff: $90 per month and 2.5% + $0.10 processing fee
  • 11 + staff: Please contact us

Note: There is no extra fee for using Appointments with multiple locations or enabling staff permissions.

Square accepts all major credit and debit cards for subscriptions. If you’re a Square merchant with a linked bank account, you can pay for subscriptions with your bank account.
