Square has partnered with the Ogden Raptors, a professional minor league baseball team and affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, to offer a faster and more convenient payment experience all season long. From fans paying with Apple Pay right from their seats to merch collectors purchasing baseball caps online, people can use Square’s products both online and offline to have a perfect day at the ballpark.

Over the years, Square has built a powerful ecosystem of tools for all types of sellers and the customers they serve. Square and the Ogden Raptors are excited to team up to utilize these products to enhance the game experience for attendees and help the team better run and grow their business.

Here’s how Square’s products will be used throughout the 2019 season:

  • Square Online Store: The Square Online Store will power all retail and concession sales. Attendees will have the option to order food ahead of time and pick-up at their concession stand of choice, avoiding long lines and missed innings. Merch orders will be available for pick up at the park or shipped to a destination of choice.
  • Square Hardware: Square Terminal, Stand, and Register will be used throughout the park at retail storefronts and across all concession locations, enabling fans to pay any way they prefer from tap to dip to swipe. Hawkers will also be taking card payments directly from the stands using Square’s mobile hardware offerings, allowing fans to purchase their hotdog without ever missing a pitch.
  • Square Payroll: The all-in-one payroll solution will be used by the Ogden Raptors to quickly and easily pay their employees this season.
  • Square POS Software & Analytics: Through Square’s free POS app the Ogden Raptors will have access to real-time analytics and sales reporting, which will show insights like which items are selling the most, when the busiest purchasing times are during the game, and more.

“We are incredibly excited to begin a new chapter of our operation with our new friends from Square,” said Dave Baggott, Owner and President of the Ogden Raptors. “Their innovation with customer service through technology is second to none. We feel the addition of Square products here at Lindquist Field is taking us and quite frankly, the baseball industry to whole new place.”

This is the third sports collaboration this summer where Square has showcased its reliable and fast hardware and POS software to offer a new payment experience to spectators. In addition to the Ogden Raptors, Square is also working with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway team and the Washington Nationals. To learn more about Square, visit squareup.com.
