  • Do I need to be a Square customer to use this service?

    Nope. Anyone can use Square Photo Studio. If you don’t have a Square account, we will ask you to activate one to download your product photos and check your order status.

  • I’m an international customer. Can I take advantage of this service?

    Unfortunately, we’re not offering this service to international customers at this time.

  • What happens if my product gets lost or damaged in the mail?

    As much as we’d like to, we unfortunately can’t control what happens to your product when it’s with the postal service or other shipping providers. We recommend choosing a shipping provider with reliable tracking and signature confirmation.

  • I paid for return shipping, what happens if my products get lost or damaged when you ship them back to me?

    Our team does their best when shipping products back to you to make sure your items are safe and secure, but accidents do happen when dealing with shipping carriers. We do not keep original boxes and do our best to package items that keep them safe and secure. That being said, if you’re sending us fragile items or unique items that require special packaging, we highly suggest purchasing insurance and sending us pre-paid shipping labels to make sure your products are protected in transit. If you’re shipping us wine, please send us pre-paid shipping labels with the necessary insurance and shipping requirements. We are not responsible for lost or damaged items and cannot refund you for the cost of your products or the cost of shipping.

  • When will you ship my items back?

    After delivering your product photos, we’ll wait up to 7 days for any feedback or adjustments. After 7 days, we’ll either ship your products back or donate them, depending on what you selected at checkout. If you want to order additional images of a product we already have, please let us know within 7 days.

  • What kind of license comes with the images?

    You have a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide copyright license to use the images for any use as long as it does not violate the Terms of Service and the additional Photo Studio terms. However, we do retain the right to use the images in Square marketing materials and communications.

  • Do you add drop shadows or background colors?

    We shoot all items on pure white backgrounds, without shadows. If you want different background colors or shadows, we deliver transparent PNGs so you can add them in post-production as needed.

  • What do I receive when I order a 360 photo?

    When you order a 360 photo, here’s what happens: once we receive your product, our robotic camera shoots 24-72 images of it as it makes a complete, 360-degree spin. Those product photos are then converted into a .spin file. You’ll receive a link to a hosted .spin file with the 360 photo of your product and embed code for a hosted .spin file.

  • How do I use my 360 photo?

    If you’re a Square Online seller, you can copy and paste your link directly into your product page. If you want to use your 360 photo on other types of pages on your Square Online Store, just follow these steps.

    If you’re not using Square Online, we suggest you embed the file on your page by following your site provider’s instructions. We do not offer videos, GIFs, or the individual images for these files. We’ve found that these can significantly slow down page load speeds and recommend either embedding a .spin file or using our first-party solution.

  • Can you tell me more about how you do watch photography?

    All photos of watches go through light color correction and minor post-processing. We follow watch photography best practices but do not focus stack.

  • Can you tell me more about how you shoot apparel?

    For apparel, we shoot all items on ghost mannequins. We can shoot flat lay as requested but this must be included in your initial order notes. If your clothing is unisex, please specify whether you want your apparel shot on a male or female mannequin. Each seller is different and it’s hard for our photographers to know the details of your product. If you have specific requests about the fit of the clothing, please include them in your initial order notes.

    For sizes, please send us mediums. Sizes that are too large or too small will not fit or fit awkwardly on the mannequins’ body. For children’s clothing, we have an age 7 mannequin. If your items don’t fit our mannequins, we’ll either request alternate sizes or shoot flat lay by default. We do not have maternity or plus-size mannequins.

  • Are you able to shoot perishable food?

    We are not able to shoot perishable goods at this time.

  • If I have multiple colors of a product, can you just Photoshop the different colors onto my product?

    Unfortunately we are not able to Photoshop new colors onto your product.

  • What if I’m not happy with my photos?

    We do our best to deliver quality images the first time around each time we shoot, but occasionally there are details we can miss. If you need adjustments, please be as specific as possible as to what you want improved. What may seem obvious to you won’t necessarily be clear to a photographer who isn’t familiar with your product. Example images are very helpful even if they’re photos you’ve shot yourself. We’re only able to accommodate one round of reshoots and two rounds of retouching so please provide all feedback in the first round of requests.
