There are several different types of links you can add to your website. The following options are available when creating links:
Standard Pages - Link to an existing page on your website.
Category - Link to a store category.
Item - Link to a store item.
Shop All - Link to your main store page.
External - Link to a different website.
Phone - Link to a phone number that users on mobile can click to call.
Email - Link to an email address that users can click to open their email app and send a
File - Choose this option to upload and link to a file that your site visitors can view or download.
Square Appointments - Link to an online scheduler that works with Square Appointments to allow customers to book right on your website.
Square eGift Cards - Setup or link your Square eGift cards account so you can allow customers to purchase eGift Cards from your website.
You can create a link using any text you add to your page. First, highlight the text you want to link, then click the “chain link” icon in the text options on the left.
This will open the link dialog box, where you can select the kind of link you’d like to create. Choose an option from the menu and use the field below to complete the link. Click Save when you’re finished. This is the same basic process you’ll follow when adding any kind of link.
You can also add a link to an image. Click on the image you want to use, then use the Add link button on the left to open the link dialog box. Read this article to learn more about adding pictures to your website.
Many sections offer an “action button” that you can add a link to. To do so, click on the button and use the Add link option on the left to access the link dialog box.
Navigation Menu Link
You can add a link to your navigation menu for any of the previously mentioned items except Phone and Email.
Click on your navigation menu from any page to open the options on the left, then click Menu items under Navigation. Use the Add menu item button to open the link dialog box and choose the type of link you’re adding. Publish when you’re finished to see the changes on your live site.
