How to Accept Payments on your Square Dashboard
Without Square Reader
Log in to your online Square Dashboard
Go to squareup.com/dashboard and use your email and password to sign in.
Click Sign in.
Go to Virtual Terminal
In the navigation pane, click Virtual Terminal > Take a Payment.

Enter payment details
Select Quick Charge, then enter the amount to be charged, an optional note for the payment, and select a Payment Method. You can manually enter the card details, swipe a card using a Square Reader for Magstripe, or charge a card on file.

When you’re ready, swipe or click Charge.
Complete the sale
That’s it—your funds will be transferred into your bank account as fast as the next business day or in seconds with instant transfer. Review Square’s transfer options.
You can keep track of all your transactions by going to Sales > Transactions in your online Square Dashboard.
Square’s standard processing fee for Virtual Terminal payments is 3.5% + 15¢ per manually-entered payment and 2.6% + 10¢ per swipe.

Invoice
Go to your online Square Dashboard
On a computer, go to squareup.com/login and click Dashboard in the upper right corner. Sign in and go to the Invoices page. Click the Create Invoice button. To create a recurring invoice, select the Recurring option.
Create your invoice
Select a customer from your Customer Directory, or enter a new name and email address. Under Delivery Method, select whether you’d like to email your customer this invoice or manually share the invoice link. If your customer has a card on file, you’ll have the option to select it from this menu.

Send your invoice
Before sending your invoice, select Preview in the top right-hand corner to view your invoice as your customer will see it. You can also click Save as draft to save the current version to work on later, or to keep it as a template to duplicate and send anytime.
When the information is complete, click Send. Your customer receives an emailed invoice that looks like this, and you get a copy in your inbox.

Track invoice payment
Once your invoice is sent, you can track whether it has been paid from your online Square Dashboard.
