Schedule Item Updates with Square Online

Note: Using scheduled item updates requires an upgrade on your Square Online site.

With scheduled item updates in Square Online, you can schedule item visibility and sale price changes ahead of time to run special sales or launch new products. You can schedule updates for individual items or for multiple items via bulk actions. You can also choose when you want items to be updated, and view upcoming and completed schedules on the item details page.

Schedule a Bulk Sale Price Update 

To set up a scheduled sale price update:

  1. In your Square Online Overview page, go to Items > SiteItems and select one or more items to schedule.

  2. Select Bulk edit > Update Sale Price.

  3. Choose Apply sale price or Remove sale price. If applying a sale price, you can choose between a set amount or a percentage of the item price. Note that the sale price will be based on the item’s original price and not on any location based price overrides. Select Next to continue.

  4. Use the radio buttons to either make the update now or schedule it for later. If you choose to schedule an update for later, enter the date, time and time zone for when you want the item(s) to be updated.

  5. Select Apply scheduled update.

You can see which items have a scheduled update by looking for the calendar icon next to the items on the Site Items page.

Schedule a Bulk Item Visibility Update

To set up an item for a scheduled visibility update:

  1. In your Square Online Overview page, go to Items > SiteItems and select one or more items to schedule.

  2. Select Bulk edit > Update Visibility.

  3. Choose the new visibility setting you want to apply to your items and select Continue.

  4. Use the radio buttons to either make the update now or schedule it for later. If you choose to schedule an update for later, enter the date, time and time zone for when you want the item(s) to be updated.

  5. Select Apply scheduled update.

You can see which items have a scheduled update by looking for the calendar icon next to the items on the Site Items page.

Schedule an Item Update on Individual Items

To set up a single item for a scheduled update:

  1. In your Square Online Overview page, go to Items > SiteItems and select a single item.

  2. Under Scheduled Item Updates, select Schedule an update to schedule a visibility or sale price update.

View or Cancel Scheduled Item Updates

To view or cancel any of your scheduled item updates in Square Online:

  1. In your Square Online Overview page, go to Items > Site Items.

  2. Select Filters and filter by the type of scheduled update. You’ll only see items that are scheduled.

  3. To cancel a scheduled update, choose the item you’d like to cancel and select Cancel update in the scheduling section.
