Sign In and Out of Square Point of Sale

Learn how to sign in and out of Square Point of Sale from your mobile device.

Note: To sign in to your Square Dashboard online using a supported web browser, click here. If you experience browser issues, try these browser troubleshooting tips.

Sign In

From your supported device:

  1. Open the Square Point of Sale app, and tap Sign In.

  2. Enter the email address and password associated with your account.

  3. Tap Sign In.

Note: Passwords are case sensitive. If you’re having trouble logging in, learn how to reset your account password.

Multiple Person Sign In

As long as each device is signed in to the Square Point of Sale app with the same email address and password, all transactions will be processed under the same account.

You can track which device was used to record each payment by downloading your Transactions CSV from Transactions in your online Square Dashboard. Giving each device a unique name is a great way to easily identify different devices.

We save your items and account information on Square’s servers, not directly on your mobile device, so you can always access your items when you log into the app with your email address and password.

Sign Out

From your supported device:

  1. From the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen, tap More.

  2. Tap Sign Out.

  3. Confirm that you would like to sign out.
