Your buyers must opt in by ticking a box to receive your email marketing campaigns. Their consent ends after twelve months if they haven’t received a campaign, and an unsubscribe link is included in every marketing email.
How much does Square Marketing cost?
Your monthly cost for Square Marketing depends on the number of customer contacts you have, as follows:
0–500 customer contacts: $20 per month
501–1,000 customer contacts: $30 per month

You can create fully custom campaigns from scratch or start with a prebuilt campaign for whatever your business goal. How do I see if my campaigns are working?
In Square Dashboard, you can view reporting to measure the results of each campaign—including open rates, clickthrough rates, revenue and other customer engagement metrics. You can also see how many coupons were redeemed at your Square Point of Sale or Square Online store.
How does email marketing connect to my other Square tools?
Your customer directory automatically syncs, so you can easily create targeted campaigns using the customer data you already collect at your Square Point of Sale and Square Online store. You can promote eGift cards, loyalty programs and special offers directly in your emails, and track results—like coupon redemptions and revenue—right from Square Dashboard. Everything works together to help you engage your audience and grow your business without extra setup or manual importing.
Can I import existing contact lists?
Yes. If you’re switching over to Square, you can import existing contact lists into your customer directory if you’ve already received consent.
How do I grow my contact list?
You can grow your contact list with every sale. Customers can enter their email address at your Square Point of Sale to subscribe to your email marketing campaigns, or via your website. You can also share a link via QR code or social media to encourage customers to sign up to receive your emails.
