How do I take payments on a job site?
You can take payments in the field with Square Terminal or pair Square Reader with your phone. Accept credit cards, Interac debit and digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay at the customer's location. If you need to take a payment remotely, you can also send an invoice or use Virtual Terminal from your computer.
Can I collect deposits before starting work?
Yes. Square Invoices lets you request deposits, send payment links and set up payment schedules for larger jobs. That can help cover materials, secure the booking and make payment terms clear before work begins.
