Manage orders with Square

Overview of the Orders tab
The Orders tab contains all your checks, tabs, and online orders to give you a single, centralized location to manage your orders.
The checks view contains all open checks and bar tabs created via your Square POS apps, grouped by Your checks and Other checks to quickly find the most relevant checks to the team member.
Checks show the following information:
- Check/tab name
- Time since check was created & employee name
- Number of items & item preview
- Check total & preauthorization label (if applicable)
The online view contains all online orders from Square Online or any integrated partners with the following information:
- Customer name and order source
- Fulfillment type
- Number of items & item preview
- Order total
- Order status
The self-serve view contains all orders created through QR code ordering if enabled, grouped by the specific station name where the order originated. Station names may not map to the same check name or table name assigned to an open check.
Self-serve orders show the following information:
- Customer name and order source
- Time since check was created
- Number of items & item preview
- Order total
- Order status
The paid view contains all checks where an initial payment has been captured but are waiting to be settled. Checks will appear in the Closed view once settled. Checks can be settled individually or in bulk when running your close of day report. All unsettled payments will be automatically settled with a $0 tip after 36 hours.
- Paid orders show the following information:
- Check/tab name
- Time since check was created & employee name
- Number of items & item preview
- Check total
- Tip status
The closed view contains all checks and online orders that have been completed, either successfully or through cancelation. Closed orders can be filtered by fulfillment type, the state in which the order closed, or the order source.

- Voided tag, if applicable
Filter and sort orders
You can filter, sort, and organize all of your checks and orders with the Orders tab. Views cannot be customized outside of their default. If your device goes offline, you will only be able to view orders up until the last time your device was connected to the internet.
If you don't see the Online view in your Orders tab, you can enable it by:
Sign in to your Square Dashboard and select Device Management > Devices.
Select the device. Under Assigned device profiles, select Manage next to the applicable device profile.
Select Online > toggle on Use on this profile.

You can filter, sort, and organize all of your checks and orders with the Orders tab. If your device goes offline, you will only be able to view orders up until the last time your device was connected to the internet.
You can sort your checks by Check name, Time created, Order total, or Server name. Checks can also be organized by high to low or low to high values.
- From your Square Restaurants POS app, navigate to Orders.
- Select Sort.
Select Sort to sort your self-serve orders by Table ID, Customer name, Time created or Order total. Self-serve orders can also be organized by high to low or low to high values. You can also filter by a specific Station ID by:
- From the Orders tab, select Filter.
- Select Station ID(s).
Select Sort to sort your paid checks by Check name, Time created, Time paid, Order total, and Server name. Paid checks can be organized by high to low or low to high values.
You can also filter by Server Name or Order Source by:
- From the Orders tab, select Filter.
- Select a Server Name or Order Source.
- Choose additional values to filter by.
