About completing orders with Square KDS
Square KDS can help you organize and fulfill orders to maximize the number of items passing through your kitchen.
Before You Begin
To receive and complete orders on Square KDS, make sure you set up your KDS device and order routing. Learn how to set up Square KDS, and how to route orders to the kitchen with Square KDS and Square for Restaurants.
You have two options for completing orders from your Square KDS app:
Complete a single item on a ticket
Complete the whole ticket at once
When you complete a ticket from a Prep station, a grey dot will appear on the Expeditor station next to the item(s) completed. If an Expeditor completes an item, it will also be completed at all other Prep and Expeditor stations. Make sure you’ve created at least one Kitchen Display device code. Mark orders as complete
Both Prep stations and Expo stations have the ability to mark single items or whole tickets as complete.
