Complete Orders with Square KDS
Before You Begin
Square KDS (Kitchen Display System) can help you organize and fulfill orders to maximize the number of items passing through your kitchen. Learn more about Square KDS.
Before you can complete orders with Square KDS, make sure your expeditor (expo) stations and prep stations are set up correctly. If you need to review Square KDS setup instructions, visit Get Started with Square KDS for Android.
Mark orders as complete
Both Prep stations and Expo stations have the ability to mark single items or whole tickets as complete. Click on each feature below.
Tap the completed item directly on the display. If you selected the wrong item by accident, tap that item again to deselect. Note: You only have three seconds to undo the item completion. After that, you can view the ticket in the completed tab. Completing an item at a station will complete it at all other stations.
Tap the top banner of the ticket you want to complete and confirm by selecting Complete Ticket. If you completed the wrong ticket on accident, tap the space below the Completed banner. Keep in mind that you have three seconds to undo the ticket completion. After that, you can view the ticket in the completed tab. Completing a ticket at a station will complete it at all other stations.
