Manage your Square Debit Card

Change Your Square Debit Card PIN

You can reset your Square Debit Card PIN from your online Square Dashboard, or from your Square app.

From your online Square Dashboard:

  1. Go to Balance > select a location under Locations.

  2. Click the gear icon and select Checking settings.

  3. Select Reset PIN.

From your Square app:

  1. Go to Balance > Checking.

  2. Click Reset Card PIN.

Edit Your Billing Address

You are able to view and edit your billing address associated with your Square Debit Card from your online Square Dashboard, or from your Square app.

From your online Square Dashboard:

  1. Navigate to the Balance tab of your online Square Dashboard > select Square Card.

  2. Click the gear icon and select Checking settings.

  3. Select Edit billing address > make your edits and click Save.

From your Square app:

  1. Go to Balance > Checking.

  2. Tap Billing address.

  3. Select Edit billing address > make your edits and tap Save.

Reorder Your Square Debit Card

If your Square Debit Card is lost or stolen, you can cancel and reorder it from your Square app or online Square Dashboard. This will automatically cancel your card. Please note: Square Debit Card will take 7-10 days to arrive. Your funds will continue to accrue in your Square Checking balance while you wait for your new card to arrive, and you can manually transfer that money to your linked bank account at any time.

To do so from your Square app:

  1. Open your Square app > tap Balance > Checking

  2. Tap Get help with Checking.

  3. Next to Status, click on the blue icon.

  4. Select I lost my card or My card was stolen > Deactivate card > Order a New Card.

From your online Square Dashboard:

  1. Go to Balance > select a location under Locations.

  2. Click the gear icon and select Checking settings.

  3.  Select Get help with Checking.

  4. Select  I lost my card or My card was stolen Report Lost or Stolen > Deactivate card > Order a New Card.

Manage your Notifications

To manage how you receive notifications regarding your Square Checking activity, open your Square app and navigate to Balance > Checking > Notifications.

Deactivate Your Square Debit Card

You can deactivate your Square Debit Card from your Square app. To do so:

  1. Open your app and go to Balance > Checking.

  2. Tap Get help with card > select I’d like to cancel my card.

  3. Tap Deactivate Card.

In case you need to, you can order a new card by selecting Order Replacement.

Temporarily Lock Your Square Debit Card

You can temporarily deactivate your Square Debit Card from your Square app. To do so:

  1. Open your app and go to Balance > Checking.

  2. Toggle on Lock card.
