About enrolling customers in your loyalty program
Enrolling customers in a loyalty program not only strengthens the relationship between your business and your customers but also drives revenue growth and provides valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
Before you begin
You need to create a loyalty program before you can start inviting customers. Learn how to create a loyalty program.
Once you've set up and activated your loyalty program and subscription, the new loyalty enrollment screens will appear in your Square POS app, Square Terminal, or Square Register and you can start signing up your customers to receive rewards.
To earn points, customers must provide the same phone number for each payment method used at your business. A new profile will be created in your Customer Directory if the customer uses a different phone number.
If you're using Android or Square Register, you'll need to disable the Skip Receipt Screen and Automatically Print Receipts settings in order to see the loyalty screen at checkout.

Process a sale the same way you normally would. After the sale has been completed and your customer has passed the receipt screen, you'll reach the loyalty screen.
Ask your customer to enter their phone number to enroll or sign in to your loyalty program.
They receive an SMS indicating they've earned their first point, and if enabled, they'll also see a link to Cash App to view their loyalty status with your business. From the Activity tab in Cash App, they'll be able to view accrued points, earned rewards, and activity at your business. If your customer does not have Cash App at the time of the transaction, they will be prompted to download the app to easily view their loyalty program details.
After each transaction, your customer will receive a text message indicating they've been enrolled and, if applicable, earned their first point(s), along with a link to their loyalty program status.
Customize your sign-in screen
You can choose to show non-qualifying purchases and set your preferred post-transaction screen timeout.
If this integration is turned off, customers will be directed to an online webpage where they can view their loyalty status details.
