Receipt Search

Square enables businesses to accept card payments on their mobile device through countertop options such as Square Reader, Square Stand, Square Terminal, Square Register. Square sellers can also accept card payments through invoicing, appointments, Square Online, app integrations, and other products. While Square was not the merchant that charged you, you may have made a purchase from a business that uses Square to accept card payments.

As a customer of a Square seller, you are able to search online for your receipts from previous transactions. Square’s Receipt search allows you to look up a receipt if any of the following applies:

  • You don’t recognize a charge

  • You need a copy of a receipt

  • You haven’t received a receipt

To look up a charge using the Receipts search form:

  1. Head to squareup.com/receipts.

  2. Enter the amount of the charge as seen your statement, transaction date, expiration date, and the payment card number used for this transaction.

  3. Click Look up receipt to view your web receipt.

Note: Square transactions begin with SQ * on your internet banking or bank statements, followed by the merchant's business name.

Receipt information is entered and published by the merchant; each merchant chooses to make their contact information public.

Your privacy and security is very important to us. The information you provide will only be used to look up your purchase. All payment card information is encrypted and submitted to our servers securely. Read more about privacy and security at Square.
