Set up item preferences with Square Online

    Square Online includes several options to customize how items display on your website and how you can manage them in your account.

    Before you begin

    To view online item preferences, make sure you've set up a Square Online account. Learn how to set up your online store with Square Online.

    Be aware that these item preferences are moving from your Square Online Overview page to your Square Item Library in Dashboard.

    You can manage your item preferences options from your Square Dashboard.

    Set up Square online item preferences

    You can set up Square Online item preferences from your Square Dashboard.

    Default item fulfillment

    1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard , then click Sales channels > Online > Items > Item Preferences.
    2. Select Edit under Default item fulfillment.
    3. Select your preferred fulfillment methods.
    4. Select Save.

    Gift options

    1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard , then click Sales channels > Online > Shared Settings > Item Preferences.
    2. Select Set up under Gift options.
    3. To offer a gift-wrapping service, select the Gift wrap toggle.
    4. Enter a customer-facing label and description, and add a price if you wish to charge a fee. Select Continue.
    5. Choose to apply gifting to all items or only some items. If you choose some items, use the checkboxes to choose which items will have gifting options.
    6. Select Apply to save your changes.

    Only physical and food & beverage item types support gifting.
