Create Channel Filters in Customer Directory

Channel filters enable you to segment your customers by different channels, such as in-store, online, third-party apps, subscriptions, invoices, and more.

To create a channel filter:

  1. Log in to your Square Dashboard and click Customers > Directory.

  2. From your Customer Directory, click + Create Group.

  3. Click Smart group > Next.

  4. Click Custom Smart Group > Next.

  5. Click Channel to define the customers in your group. Click Next.

  6. Customize the channel details and add any additional filters. Click Next.

  7. Name your smart group and click Create group.

Note: You can click Send campaign to send an email or text message marketing campaign to your newly created audience.

Note: The channel filter doesn't include booking purchases from Square for Appointments and customers who only have booking purchases will not be included in the result.
