Customize Your Square Online Booking Site

Square Online offers the option to create a mobile-friendly booking site to allow your customers to book appointments online, buy items, and learn more about your business. You will be able to choose the layout, font style, colors, and optional website pages that go best with your business.

Edit Your Square Online Booking Site

You can make changes, such as edit, and remove services from your booking site, organize your services into categories, or change the order in which services are presented, directly from the Appointments Dashboard, from the Online section of your Square Dashboard, and the Weebly app.

Arrange and add services

  1. Log in to your Appointments Dashboard> click Online Booking > Booking Site.

  2. Under Website options, select Manage next to Square Online website.

  3. Click Edit next to the site you’d like to make changes to, and you will be redirected to the Square Online editor.

  4. Under Page Sections select Services list > Arrange and add services.

  5. Drag the services to rearrange their order. To edit the service information, or delete the service from your booking site, click the three horizontal dots. If you wish to add a new service, select + Add from the top menu, and enter the service details. 

  6. Publish to save your changes.

Display service categories

  1. Log in to your Appointments Dashboard > click Online Booking > Channels.

  2. Next to Enable online booking click Manage.

  3. Select Manage service and category order > toggle on Display categories online. If you have multiple locations, click “...” and select Manage service and category next to the location’s booking site you want to edit.

  4. Drag and drop categories to change the order in which they're displayed. and services to change the order in which they're displayed under a category. Note: To edit a category or a service category go to > Items > Services.

  5. Select Save.

Note: Services which are not under a category will appear in the Other category in your Online Booking Site.

Add staff members

  1. Log in to your Appointments Dashboard > click Staff.

  2. Click Add Employee to add your staff.

Create a banner

You can create banners to display in your Square online site with announcements from your business, and more.

  1. Log in to your Appointments Dashboard> click Online Booking > Booking Site.

  2. Under Website options, select Manage next to Square Online website.

  3. Click Edit next to the site you’d like to make changes to, and you will be redirected to the Square Online editor.

  4. Under Page Sections click on the toggle button on Banner to show it.

  5. Select the Banner section.

  6. Enter the content for your banner, and select Publish to save your changes.

Add a new page to your online booking site


You will be able to add extra pages, including shop all, for physical item sales, and order online, for selling food items, to your site.

  1. Log in to your Appointments Dashboard > click Online Booking > Booking Site.

  2. Under Website options, select Manage next to Square Online website.

  3. Click Edit next to the site you’d like to make changes to, and you will be redirected to the Square Online editor.

  4. Select + Add > Page to add a new page.

  5. Publish to save your changes.

Customize the design of your online booking site

With Square Online, you can personalize the appearance of your appointments list on your site, by changing the color of your text and buttons, as well as header and footer format directly from your Appointments Dashboard.

  1. Log in to your Appointments Dashboard > click Online Booking > Booking Site.

  2. Under Website options, select Manage next to Square Online website.

  3. Click Edit next to the site you’d like to make changes to, and you will be redirected to the Square Online editor.

  4. Make your changes, and select Publish to save your edits.

Set Up Advanced Widgets

You can create a widget that only shows specific services, specific staff, or a combination of both using Advanced Widgets.

To do so:

  1. Navigate to Online Booking > Advanced Widget.

  2. Select Create New Widget.

  3. Choose a name for the widget, or leave the default name.

  4. Customize the staff and services to include > Save.

  5. To edit or delete a widget, select Edit.

Note: If you choose a staff member who doesn’t have the selected service assigned to them, that service will not appear in the widget.

Edits made to the widget will automatically update anywhere that widget is installed. Deleting a widget from your dashboard will not automatically delete embedded widgets on other websites. If the deleted widget code is not removed from a website, an error message will display in place of the widget.
