Manage Your Square Appointments Subscription

With Square Appointments Free, Plus, or Premium, managing your subscription options is easy. You can upgrade your account to Square Appointments Plus or Premium at any time from your online Square Dashboard. If you decide you’d like just to use Appointments Free, or discontinue your Appointments subscription entirely, you can do so in just a couple of steps from your online Square Dashboard.

Subscribe to Square Appointments Plus or Premium

To upgrade your Square Appointments plan:

  1. Go to Account & Settings from your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Click Business information > Pricing & Subscriptions.
  3. Under “Subscription Pricing,” click Manage next to your Square Appointments plan.
  4. From here, you can choose to upgrade to the Plus or Premium plan.

Note: If you do not have a payment method on file, you can also add this through the subscription flow.

When you first transition from Square Appointments Free to Plus or Premium, you’ll initiate your free 30-day trial. You will have full access to the features in that plan.

Note: No payment information will be required during your free trial, but if you decide to keep your plan, you’ll be charged a monthly subscription fee for each location.

Manage Locations

You can which locations you would like to allow access to Square Appointments Free, Plus or Premium.

To manage locations for your Appointments plan:

  1. Go to Account & Settings from your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Click Business information > Pricing & Subscriptions.
  3. Under “Subscription Pricing,” click Manage next to your Square Appointments plan.
  4. Click Manage locations then tick or untick the relevant locations.
  5. Click Apply to locations.

Pause your Appointments Subscription

You can pause all of your subscriptions to Square products for up to three months. Similar to a cancellation, each pause is managed per individual subscription.

To pause your Square Appointments subscription:

  1. Go to Account & Settings from your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Click Business information > Pricing & Subscriptions.
  3. Under “Subscription Pricing,” click Manage next to the appropriate subscription.
  4. Click Pause Subscription.
  5. Choose your resume date, then click Confirm pause.

When you pause your subscription, still have access to paid Square Appointments Plus or Premium features until the end of your current billing cycle on the date listed. You won’t be charged while your subscription is paused. You can resume at any time while paused and your data will still be right where you left it.

Downgrade From Plus or Premium

To switch back from Appointments Plus or Premium to the Free plan:

  1. Go to Account & Settings from your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Click Business information > Pricing & Subscriptions.
  3. Under “Subscription Pricing,” click Manage next to the appropriate subscription.
  4. Select Appointments Free as the plan you wish to downgrade to and follow the steps to complete the downgrade.

Note: If you have multiple locations, when downgrading from Appointments Plus or Premium plan to Appointments Free, you can select which location you would like the Free plan to be applied to.

Your subscription will automatically end, and you will not be charged for the Appointments Plus or Premium plan in the next billing cycle.

Note: You can also pause your subscription for up to three months — you won‘t be charged during this time. Resume your subscription at any time and pick up where you left off.

Disable Your Appointments Plan

To disable your Appointments plan whether you are subscribed to our Free, Plus, or Premium plan:

  1. Go to Account & Settings from your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Click Business information > Pricing & Subscriptions.
  3. Under “Subscription Pricing,” click Manage next to the appropriate subscription.
  4. Select Unsubscribe and follow the steps to complete disabling your account.

After unsubscribing, your Square Appointments online booking website will be disabled and customer reminders will no longer be sent. Your subscription will automatically end, and you will not be charged for the Appointments Plus or Premium plan in the next billing cycle.
