Get Started with Square Terminal

Square Terminal is your all-in-one card machine for a fast way to accept payments and print receipts with the in-built printer. Compare Square Stand, Register, and Terminal or check out our Square Terminal FAQ to learn more.

Plug in and power on your Square Terminal then log into your existing Square account or follow the steps below to create a new account:

• Scan the QR code to create an account with a separate device.

• Select Continue to sign in to create an account on Square Terminal.

• Select Email a link instead to receive a sign up link to your email address.

Hardware

Setting up your Square Terminal or additional third-party hardware takes minutes. With the Hub for Square Terminal (sold separately) you can connect a USB barcode scanner, external USB printer or an Ethernet network cable.

Connected Square Terminal

You can also connect Square Terminal with Square Point of Sale, Square Retail POS app and Square for Restaurants POS app for wireless in-person payments or connect Square Terminal with Virtual Terminal to take in-person or remote payments.
