Create Anchor Links in Square Online

If you have a page with multiple sections in Square Online, you can add a link to your site’s navigation menu that will jump to any section of that page. This type of link is often referred to as an anchor link.

Note: Currently, anchor links are only available for standard pages, and can’t be used with item or category pages. You’re also unable to grab the anchor link’s URL within the editor. You’ll need to obtain the URL from your live website by publishing it first if you ever need to use or share it.

You’ll see your new navigation link appear in the links list in the editing panel. If you want to change where it appears on your navigation menu, select and drag the navigation link in the editing panel to a new position.

Remove or Edit an Anchor Link

To remove an anchor link from your navigation menu, select either the header or footer section on your site. In the editing panel, expand the Navigation option and select the button to open the link options in a pop-up window. Hover over the navigation link in the editing panel and select the trash can icon to remove it from your navigation menu entirely.

You can also select the pencil icon to edit the navigation link. Select the toggle in the pop-up window to disable the anchor link and Save. This will cause your navigation link to link to the entire page instead of the specific section on the page.
