Send Digital Customer Contracts with Square Appointments
With Square Appointments, you can automatically send digital contracts for free once a new appointment is booked with your business by setting up contract templates from your online Square Dashboard.
Note: If you are not subscribed to Square Appointments Premium, you can still manually send digital contracts for free in the Contracts section of your online Square Dashboard, but they won't be automatically attached to Appointment bookings.
Create Contract Templates
Create a custom contract template or customise an existing template to fit your unique business needs, such as COVID-19 liability waivers or general service agreements. This will allow you to easily and safely receive and track customers' signatures and agreements.

Custom contract fields are available with an Appointments Premium or Invoices Plus subscription. You can also create custom contract fields in your contracts to collect specific information from your customers. Learn more about creating custom contract fields in our Support Center.
Before you send your customers a contract, you will need to create a contracts template.
- Go to Customers > Contracts in your online Square Dashboard.
- Click Templates.
- Select Create a template. Here, you can add your business details to the Template and Contract sections. Then, click Next.
- Add the clauses you want to apply to the contract. For custom templates, you need to include at least one clause.
- Click Save.
- Go to Customers > Contracts in your online Square Dashboard.
- Click Templates.
- Under Customise an existing template, select the Square template you want to use and click Create template or Create contract.
- Add your business details to the Template and Contract sections, then click Next.
- Add the clauses you want to apply to the contract. Edit, add, remove and rearrange any of the clauses.
- Click Save.
Note: If you have multiple locations, contracts templates are location-specific, so you will need to create contract templates for each location. To do so, from the Templates page, click on the drop-down menu and select a different location before creating a new contract template.
