Reset your password

Who is this article for?
  • Only account owners can reset their password.
  • About resetting your password

Privacy and security are a priority at Square and your account security is our first priority. We want to help you stay safe so you can focus on what really matters – running your business, and helping it thrive.

    Before you begin

You can reset your email from your Square Dashboard and send a password reset from your Square Dashboard or Square Point of Sale app.

If you’re having trouble with the password reset email, it is possible that you created your Square account using a different email address than the one you are entering into the email address field.

    • Doublecheck the email address you entered in the password reset field is the same email used to access your Square account.

    • Confirm the email address you used to create your Square account by looking through your email inboxes for emails from Square.

    • Check your junk mail folder, because Square’s emails are occasionally sorted out by spam filters.

    • If you see the message “This token has been used”, visit square.com/dashboard from your browser to confirm you are signed out of Dashboard.

If you can't sign in to your Square account and need to change the email address, contact Square Support via phone for help.
