Manage Sections on Your Square Online Site
As you build your website in the Square Online site editor, you’ll be adding pages to your site and adding sections to each of those pages.
Think of sections as the building blocks of your website. You can use them to add content from text and images, to products and much more. Every page on your site has a universal header and footer section, and you can add more sections and customize them to create the look you want.
Navigate the Sections Menu
The sections menu in the editing panel of the Square Online site editor lists all of the sections on the current page. Hover over any item in the list to see it highlighted on the page, and select it to view and edit settings for that section.
Add and Edit Sections
You can add sections to your Square Online site to include text, images, items and many other features on your website. The sections menu in the Square Online site editor lists all of the sections on the page that you’re viewing (which you may move, copy, rearrange or delete). Editing options vary by section type, so selecting a section in the menu will open that specific section’s editing panel.
To add a section to your site:
1. From your Square Online site editor, open the page you want to add a section to.
2. Select +Add > Section and select any section type that best suits your needs.
3. Select the section to see customization options appear in the editing panel.
4. Complete your edits and Publish your site to see the changes live.
Note: If you don’t see +Add > Section for the page you’re editing, that means a section can’t be added to that page.
Sections can be added to standard pages, category pages, item pages, and your ordering page.
