As you create pages and navigation for your Square Online site, you’ll be adding sections to each of your pages. Think of sections as the content building blocks of your website. Every page on your site has a universal header and footer section, and you can add and customise additional sections to create the online experience you want.

Navigate the Sections menu
The sections menu in the editing panel of the site editor lists all of the sections on the current page. Hover over any item in the list to see it highlighted on your webpage, and select it to view and edit settings for that section.
Add and edit sections
You can add sections to your Square Online site to include text, images, items and many other features on your webpages. The sections menu in the site editor lists all of the sections on the page you’re viewing (which you may move, copy or delete). Editing options vary by section type, so selecting a section in the menu will open that section’s editing panel.
To add a section to your site:
From your Square Dashboard, open the page you want to add a section to.
Select +Add > Section and select a section that best suits your needs.
Select the section to see customisation options appear in the editing panel.
Complete your edits and Publish your site to see the changes live.
Note: If you don’t see +Add > Section for the page you’re editing, that means a section can’t be added to that page.
Customise Sections
For certain sections in the Square Online site editor, you can easily add new areas called ‘groups’ within the section to ensure consistency between all of those areas.
For example, the Text and image sections allow you to add a number of groups to the section. Depending on the layout, you can add more groups by selecting Add group in the editing panel, and you can toggle display options like section or group titles and descriptions, as well as the ability to display buttons or images.
See all of your options by selecting the different areas within a section on your site, and select different layouts in the editing panel to customise how your content is displayed. Each layout comes with numerous customisation options.
