Manage Your Square Appointments Subscription

With Square Appointments Free, Plus or Premium, managing your subscription options is easy. You can upgrade your account to Square Appointments Plus or Premium at any time from your online Square Dashboard. If you decide you’d like just to use Appointments Free, or discontinue your Appointments subscription entirely, you can do so in just a couple of steps from your online Square Dashboard.

Subscribe to Square Appointments Plus or Premium

To upgrade from Appointments Free to Plus or Premium:

  1. Go to Settings > Account settings from your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Click Business > Pricing & Subscriptions.
  3. . Under ‘Subscription Pricing’, click Manage next to your Square Appointments plan.
  4. From here, you can choose to upgrade to the Plus or Premium plan.

Note: If you do not have a payment method on file, you can also add this through the subscription flow.

When you first transition from Appointments Free to Plus or Premium, you’ll initiate your free 30-day trial. You will have full access to the features in that plan. Learn more about Square Appointments plans, pricing and features.

Note: No payment information will be required during your free trial, but if you decide to keep your plan, you’ll be charged a monthly subscription fee for each location.

Pause your Appointments Subscription

You can pause all of your subscriptions to Square products. Similar to a cancellation, each pause is managed per individual subscription. To pause your Appointments subscription:

  1. Go to Account settings on your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Click Business > Pricing & Subscriptions.
  3. Under ‘Subscription Pricing’, click Manage next to the appropriate subscription.
  4. Click Pause Subscription.

Downgrade From Plus or Premium

To switch back from Appointments Plus or Premium to the Free plan:

  1. Go to [Account & Settings] on your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Click Business > Pricing & Subscriptions.
  3. Under ‘Subscription Pricing’, click Manage next to the appropriate subscription.
  4. Select Appointments Free as the plan you wish to downgrade to and follow the steps to complete the downgrade.

Note: If you have multiple locations, when downgrading from Appointments Plus or Premium plan to Appointments Free, you can select which location you would like the Free plan to be applied to.

Your subscription will automatically end, and you will not be charged for the Appointments Plus or Premium plan in the next billing cycle.

Note: You can also pause your subscription for up to three months – you won‘t be charged during this time. Resume your subscription at any time and pick up where you left off.

Disable Your Appointments Plan

To disable your Appointments plan whether you are subscribed to our Free, Plus or Premium plan:

  1. Go to [Account settings] on your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Click Business > Pricing & Subscriptions.
  3. Under ‘Subscription Pricing’, click Manage next to the appropriate subscription.
  4. Select Unsubscribe and follow the steps to complete disabling your account.

After unsubscribing, your online booking website will be disabled and customer reminders will no longer be sent. Your subscription will automatically end, and you will not be charged for the Appointments Plus or Premium plan in the next billing cycle.
