Add a Contract to Your Square Invoices or Estimates Online

You can add a Square Contracts directly to an invoice or estimate in Dashboard. By associating a contract with your invoice or estimate, you can document a signature-based agreement and establish clear expectations with your customer, increasing your protection against disputed payments.

Attach a Contract to Your Invoice

  1. From your Square Invoices Overview page in your Square Dashboard, select Send an invoice.

  2. Once you fill out the required invoice details, select Attach a Square contract in the More options section.

  3. Select between New contract or Existing contact and follow the steps.

  4. Click Save.

For Invoices Plus users, you may add a setting that requires your customer to sign a contract before making a payment. Simply toggle Require contract signature before payment, which appears in the Contracts section once a contract has been attached.

Attach a Contract to Your Estimate

  1. From your Square Invoices Overview page in your Square Dashboard, select Send an estimate.

  2. Select Attach a Square contract in the Estimate details section.

  3. Use the search tool to select the Square contract you want to attach, then select Save.

With the Square Invoices and Square Point of Sale apps, you're also able to attach contracts to your invoices and estimates on iOS and Android devices.
