Integrate Resy with Square for Restaurants Plus
About Resy and Square
With Square for Restaurants Plus or Premium, you can integrate Resy to use for your staff and guest experience. Use the automatic course status feature (including appetizer, entrée, and check dropped) to save time during service and keep your FOH better informed on dining room status. You can also understand your guest’s spending habits, improve operational efficiencies at the door, and receive actionable reporting about your business.
Before you begin
Before you can use the integration, you need to do the following:
Make sure you have a Square for Restaurants Plus or Premium subscription. Learn how to manage Square subscriptions.
Have an active Resy Platform 360 or Full-Stack plan. To create an account, visit the Resy website and select Request a Demo.
Step 1: Integrate Resy with Square
Sign in to your Square Dashboard and select Settings > App integrations.
Click Visit App Marketplace and search Resy.
Select the app listing and click Get Started to book a call with Resy to set up the integration.
Step 2: Manage your Square settings
Your table names in your Square for Restaurants Plus account must match the table names in Resy.
To match table names on your floor plan:
- Sign in to your Square Dashboard and click Settings > Device Management.
- Click Floor Plans.
- Edit or create your floor plans and table names.
- To change multiple table names at once, select a section and update the table names. Click Done.
- Click Save when you’re finished.
Troubleshooting
If the integration isn’t syncing correctly, try the following steps:
Make sure you have floor plans and menus created with Square for Restaurants Plus.
Check that your table names are an exact match between your Square for Restaurants Plus and Resy accounts.
Confirm your subscriptions to Square for Restaurants Plus and Resy are both active and up to date.

For check matching:
Ensure the guest count between the POS ticket and the Resy reservation matches.
Ensure the time the reservation is seated in Resy is within 15 minutes of the time the ticket is opened in the POS.
