About human resources management with Mineral
Square partners with HR Experts by Mineral®, a human resources integration, to offer a suite of HR software tools and access to certified advisors. These tools help sellers stay informed on the latest HR and compliance laws with a library of resources, including templates for HR documents and policies.
Sellers receive alerts when federal and state laws change, receive hiring and onboarding resources, and can learn more about key HR topics in the resource center. You also have access to personalized support from certified HR professionals and an employee handbook builder.
Before you begin
Ensure your account information is up-to-date and accurate in your Square Dashboard. When you first sign up for HR Experts, some of your business details will sync between Square and Mineral. Square will overwrite any changes made to shared fields within Mineral HR when updates are made in Square Dashboard. For the non-synchronized fields within your Mineral profiles, you can update as needed.
These shared details include:
User (business owner) details:
First name
Last name
Email address
Phone number
Business details
Client name: the Square unique identifier for your business. Do not edit this field.
Display name: your company name
Company size
Industry
Locations (address, address 2, city, state, zip, country). Location data for all active Square locations is synchronized with Mineral HR, and each location is set up on an individual basis.
Active employee count per location
Full-service Square Payroll subscribers get free access to a limited set of HR features from Mineral as part of their subscription. To use these features, subscribers must first activate their Mineral account from Square Dashboard.
Subscribe to HR Experts
You can subscribe to HR Experts from your Square Dashboard.
Sign in to your Square Dashboard and select Staff & payroll > HR and compliance > HR Experts.
Select HR Experts > Try free for 30 days.
Fill out the required payment card information.
Select Subscribe.

Sign in to your Square Dashboard and select Staff & payroll > HR and compliance > HR Experts.
Select Go to Mineral > Get Help.
