Set Up Touch Free Checkout Using Payment Links
Offer more touch-free checkout options through your Square Point of Sale with payment links.
When you select Send Payment Link, your customer will get a simple link on their own phone they can use to pay – whether they’re in your store or on the go. Just text or email your customer to get started. There is no monthly fee for using checkout links. You’ll only pay Square standard eCommerce processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.

Use Payment Links as a Touch Free Payment
In your Square Point of Sale, ring up items like you regularly would or key in prices. You can also enable tipping in your settings. When the customer is ready to pay, you’ll see Send Payment Link appear as a payment option on the checkout screen.
When you select Send Payment Link:
We’ll create a unique link your customer can use to pay.
You can share this link via email, or text it to your customer’s phone.
Your customer selects the link to open a simple payment screen.
Your customer can pay and tip on their phone using their credit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay.
Enable Tipping on Payment Links
When you’re using payment links, you can easily allow for tips from your customers. To turn on tipping for your payment links:
From the POS menu, go to Settings > Tipping.
Toggle on Collect Tips.
Your customers will now automatically see tipping settings of 5%, 10% and 15% on their payment link. Learn more about tipping within Square Point of Sale.
