Weebly and Square Online Billing FAQ
If you're a Weebly user being prompted to change your login to Square, use this article and its links to help you understand and complete the process. For additional questions not found in any of these resources, contact Square Support.
When you choose to try the Square Online site editor, the trial will automatically apply to your new site. You don’t need to do anything extra to start the trial, and you’re under no obligation to purchase when the trial ends.
Your existing Weebly plan will stay with your Weebly website. Converting to a Square account won’t affect any of your Weebly subscriptions.
If you decide to try Square Online, you’ll get the 90-day free trial with features equivalent to or better than your current Weebly plan. Once the trial period ends, you’ll have the option to extend the service or choose a different plan. You aren’t obligated to purchase any plan during or after the trial period. If you upgrade during or after the trial, we can transfer any time left on your old subscription to the new plan. For more details, check out Square Online’s paid-tier subscription pricing.
No, you don’t have to keep the same plan. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time during the 90-day trial period. We’ll remind you before the trial ends so you’ll have plenty of time to make a decision. Here’s what you can expect based on what you choose to do:
- If you decide to extend the current plan, you’ll keep all of the same features you’ve enjoyed during the trial. We’ll charge you when you extend the plan and apply credit for any time remaining in the trial.
- If you choose to upgrade to a higher-level plan, you can start using the new features right away. We’ll charge you when you upgrade and apply credit for any time remaining in the trial.
- If you downgrade to a lower level plan, we’ll charge you when you downgrade and apply credit for any time left in the trial.
If you don’t take any action, your trial will continue until it expires. After the trial ends, we’ll downgrade your site to the free plan. You’ll lose access to any paid features you used during the trial, including the use of a custom domain name. Your site will be un-published and you’ll need to use a free subdomain or upgrade to continue using the custom domain.
Your site will be un-published, and you’ll need to use a free subdomain with Square Online instead or upgrade to continue using the custom domain name.
Square Online offers a different set of plans and pricing, including a free ecommerce option. You can keep the plan and pricing you have for your old site and optionally upgrade your new site after your trial ends.
