Customize Item Pages in Square Online
Every item and category you add to your store has an automatically generated page. You can customize these pages in the website editor.
Select Item Pages
In the site editor, open the Page list and and locate the Item pages section. Click on an item to open and edit the page. You can also use the Add item option to create new items without leaving the site editor.
Customize Item Details
Each item page has a few sections you can edit. If you’re using the Shop All page template, you can also enable the Similar Items section.
The Item Details section displays item images and information.
Changes apply to all item pages, so there’s no need to edit each one individually. You can edit these options under Content:
Image gallery - Set the image aspect ratio, change the location of the thumbnail image (left, right, or bottom), add or remove a border around each image, and turn image zoom on or off.
Item title - Change the font preset, color, and formatting of the main title. If you want to change the text itself, use the Edit item details button at the top of the options list.
Price - Change the font preset, color, and formatting of the item price.
Buy button - Change the size, style, and color of the add to cart button.
Item prices - Change the font preset, color, and formatting of the item prices, or use the toggle switch to hide them.
Description - Change the font preset, color, size and location of the item description text. You can also turn the “Description” subtitle on or off, or use the toggle to completely hide the entire description so that only the image, title, price, and add to cart button are shown.
You can edit these options under Customize:
Layout - Change the position of the text and images.
Section style - Use the settings here to change the background color or image for the item details section.
Click Done to apply your changes when you’re finished editing.
Enable Similar Items
Note: This feature is only available on the Shop All page template. If you’re not using the Shop All template, you can switch to it from the Page list.
With this option on, up to ten items from the same category are shown below the item details on the page. If an item isn’t part of a category, the similar items section won’t appear on the page.
Use the toggle to enable similar items for all item pages, and click the button to view and edit the options.
You can edit these options under Content:
Section title - Turn the section title on or off and change the font preset, color, and formatting.
Section description - Turn the section description on or off and change the font preset, color, and formatting.
Item titles - Turn the item titles on or off and change the font preset, color, and formatting.
Item images - Change the image ratio and hover effect for item images and turn the “Quick shop” button on or off.
Item prices - Turn the item prices on or off and change the font preset, color, and formatting.
Buttons - Turn the “Shop Now” buttons on or off and change the button style and color.
You can edit these options under Customize:
Layout - Change the position of the text and images in the similar items section.
Section style - Use the settings here to change the background and image size for the similar items section.
Click Done to apply your changes when you’re finished editing.
