VoiceOver with Square

The VoiceOver accessibility feature in iOS is compatible with Square on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices.

Depending on which piece of Square Hardware you are using, you may need to use a headphone splitter to connect both your reader and a set of headphones. If your device is connected via bluetooth, you won’t need any extra hardware.

If you are using the Square Magstripe Reader or the Square Chip Card Reader, VoiceOver won’t be available when your reader is plugged directly into the headphone jack; you’ll need to use a headphone splitter to connect both your reader and a set of headphones.
