Use Square at Your Event

We want your event to run as smoothly as possible. Review the tips below to make sure you feel prepared and comfortable using Square, so you can enjoy yourself and focus on connecting with your customers.

Internet Connection and Apps

  • Find out if you’ll have an internet connection on location. A strong and secure Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection is best, or you can use a secure mobile hotspot network if your connection is spotty.

  • Make sure you’re using the most recent version of the Square app on your device to access the latest features and fixes.

Event Enquiry

Chat with our Events Team by submitting an Events Request Form, outlining your contact and event details.

Hardware Rental

Fill out your information and select your hardware through our vendor Hire Intelligence, including the rental start and end date. Visit our Square POS Rentals page for further information on how we can support your event.

Note: Hardware rentals are not available to individual/sole traders who have been operating for less than 12 months. Please visit place an order for Square hardware via Square Shop.

What types of payments can be processed with Square hardware rentals?

With Square hardware and the Square Point of Sale app, you can process Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit and debit cards and mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay.

Do I need Wi-Fi at my venue to use Square?

You’ll need secure Wi-Fi at your event location or a strong 4G connection (minimum) to use Square.

Can I sell event tickets online through Square?

Yes, check out our ticketing and events eCommerce partners via Square App Marketplace.
