What if I need to transfer TIDAL Artist Home ownership?

If you transfer the TIDAL Artist Home Owner role to another user, the ownership of your Square account does not transfer. Before transferring ownership, follow these steps to ensure all fan contacts are preserved and properly transferred:

  1. Export your fan contacts from your Square dashboard.
  2. Share the exported fan contact file with the new owner.
  3. The new owner needs to create their own Square account. The new owner can then import the pre-existing contacts into their newly created Square account.

This ensures that fan contact information is fully transferred and that the new owner can independently manage their Square account.

Managing Fan Contacts

Are my fan contacts only limited to my fans on TIDAL?

No, TIDAL Fan Base allows you to upload your existing fan contacts from any platform to a single database that’s yours to view, edit and even export.

How can I add fan contacts?

You can add fan contacts in two ways:

Manual Entry: Click Add Contact in the Fan Base tab of your TIDAL Artist Home. Enter each fan’s information, such as name and email, and save the contact.

.CSV Upload: The file must follow the format of the template example provided by TIDAL, which includes fields such as name, email, location, and social media handles. Although only the email field is required, including more information can help you better manage your contacts. There is a 10k contact limit per .CSV file.

How do I export fan contacts?

You can export your fan contacts directly from your Square dashboard:

  1. Log into your Square account via squareup.com/login.
  2. From Home, you can select Marketing & Loyalty in the side panel, followed by Fan Contacts.
  3. Once you’re in Fan Contacts, you can select the Export button, followed by Export customers.
  4. You can select if you want to export all customers or export specific groups.
  5. Once selected, you download your .CSV file.

How do I manage fan contacts if I have multiple artist profiles on TIDAL Artist Home?

If you manage multiple artist profiles on TIDAL Artist Home, you will need to log in to Fan Base through each individual profile to upload and manage fan contacts for each specific artist. This means you must switch to the relevant artist profile in your TIDAL Artist Home account before accessing the Fan Base tab to ensure that the contacts are correctly associated with the appropriate artist.

Each artist’s fan contacts will be organized separately within their respective accounts, allowing you to keep the fan data distinct and tailored to each artist’s unique audience and needs.

Are there best practices I should follow for sending an email campaign?

Yes! Here are some key tips to make your email campaigns resonate with your fans:

Craft a Compelling Subject Line: The subject line is your first impression, so make it count. Use something catchy and intriguing, like “New Track Just Dropped!” or “Exclusive Backstage Pass.”

Keep It Personal: Start with a personalized greeting. Using the fan’s name or a friendly “Hey” makes the email feel more personal and less like a broadcast.

Be Clear and Concise: Get to the point quickly. Let your fans know why you’re emailing them—whether it’s a new release, tour dates, or exclusive content.

Visuals Matter: Include eye-catching images or videos. Whether it’s album art, concert photos, or a teaser clip, visuals can make your email more engaging.

Include a Strong Call-to-Action: Guide your fans on what to do next. Whether it’s streaming your new single on TIDAL, buying tickets, or following you on social media, make your call-to-action clear and easy to follow.

Segment Your Audience: Tailor your emails to different groups of fans. For example, you might send a special message to fans in a city where you’re about to perform or exclusive content to your top listeners.

Be Authentic: Your fans are here because they love your music and who you are, so keep your tone genuine and true to yourself.

Respect Privacy and Preferences: Always include an easy way for fans to unsubscribe if they choose. Respecting your fans’ preferences builds trust and keeps your fan base loyal.
