About card network sounds
When your customer pays with a Visa or Mastercard, the Square app will play the corresponding audio tone at the completion of a transaction.
Before you begin
You can enable card network sounds on Square hardware, including Square Register, Square Stand, Square Terminal, and Square Readers. You cannot set card network sounds for Square apps on smartphones that aren’t connected to a Square Reader.
Enable card network sounds
- From your Square app, tap ≡ More.
- Tap Settings > Checkout > Payment sounds.
- Toggle Allow card network sounds on or off.
