Connect Square Online with TikTok
Important: Due to recent developments on TikTok, from Tuesday, 11th October 2022, we are no longer accepting new sellers into our Square x TikTok integration.
For now, TikTok has decided not to accept new merchants to Storefronts. Square is always testing and experimenting with commerce channels that enable our sellers to share their products, and we look forward to continuing to offer more ways for you to reach and engage buyers.

The Square x TikTok integration lets you take advantage of all the opportunities below to grow your online sales, track conversions, and build audiences. Once you connect your Square account with your TikTok Business Account, you can use:
TikTok Shopping Tabs: Sync your Square item catalog to TikTok and feature a Shopping tab on your TikTok profile so followers and fans can browse all your items at once.
Product Links in TikToks: Include product links in TikTok videos that point directly to your Square Online website for viewers to make a purchase.
TikTok Advertising Pixel: Create a TikTok pixel in one click and run optimized ads on your items to achieve your goals. Ad pixels can be used to track the performance of your ads or to enable retargeting.
Before you get started, make sure you have the following:
Published Square Online website. Purchases from TikTok take place on your Square Online site so you retain the customer relationship.
Return policy on Square Online.
Contact Details on Square Online — make sure you save a phone number in your store settings.
Visible payment methods.
A free TikTok Business Account account.
Get Started with TikTok
First, you'll need to switch your regular TikTok account to a TikTok Business Account account. To create one:
Register for a free TikTok account.
Tap ≡ > Manage account > Switch to Business Account.
Choose a category that best describes your account. This category won’t display publicly as it’s for internal use only.
You can then add your Square Online site in your TikTok bio and access real-time account data. Follow the steps below to complete the integration.
Step 1: Connect Square x TikTok
Once you've created your free TikTok Business Account, you can connect your TikTok account to your Square account from your online Square Dashboard.
Go to Account & Settings, then click Online sales channels.
Find "TikTok for Business" and click Get Started, then Connect.
Sync a TikTok For Business account to activate the integration. At this stage, you can either create a new TikTok For Business account or connect to an existing account.

Note: Business profile information is shared with TikTok during setup. By default, all products listed on Square Online will be published to TikTok, but specific items can be disabled in the Listings Manager.
After successfully connecting your TikTok Business Account, you can create or connect your TikTok Business Center accounts, TikTok Ads Manager accounts and TikTok Shopping to your Square account.
Step 2: Business Center
Connect to TikTok Business Center to manage your business page, accounts and users, and product catalog. You’ll need admin access to the Business Center account.
To create a new TikTok Business Center account, enter a name and click Create New.
To connect an existing TikTok Business Center account, choose the account you want to attach, then click Connect.
Step 3: TikTok Ads Manager
Connect the TikTok Ad Manager you use to create ads to your Square account. You’ll need admin access to the TikTok Ad account.
To connect an existing Ad Account, click Create New.
If you don’t have an ad account for TikTok for Business, click Create Now and follow the prompts in TikTok Ads Manager.

Step 4: Data Sharing
TikTok uses your customer data to target products, page posts and ads to your customers via TikTok Pixel, a tool that tracks how your TikTok ads impact your website. You’ll need admin access to TikTok Pixel to set up data sharing.
To connect your TikTok Pixel, click Connect.
If you don’t have a TikTok Pixel, click Create New in the Data Sharing section.
Once you set up TikTok Pixel, you will have the option to turn on the Advanced Matching feature. This feature tracks your website visitor events with improved match rate accuracy for optimal measurement. Review the TikTok Terms of Service for more information.
Step 5: Synchronize Product Catalog
To sync and set up your product catalog, click Connect.
If you don’t have a product catalog, click Create New to sync your existing Square catalog to your TikTok profile.
After you sync your Square catalog, you can view and manage which items are synced from Items > Channels Listings in your online Square Dashboard.
Step 6: TikTok Shopping
With TikTok Shopping, you can promote and sell products from your Square Online site directly on TikTok using Shopping tabs and Product Links. Connect the TikTok account where you’d like to display your products. Your products must meet TikTok’s guidelines in order to be approved for Shopping. The review process takes 3 to 5 business days, after which you’ll see your items synced and published from Square to TikTok. After you attach the account, you can use Store Manager in the TikTok platform to manage your TikTok Shopping products and settings.
To connect your TikTok account and set up Shopping, click Connect.
Step 7: Complete Setup
Once you complete each section, click Finish Setup. You can now start growing your brand awareness and increase your sales through Square x TikTok!
Note: After you click Finish Setup, you will not be able to change which Business Center, TikTok Ads account, TikTok Pixel, or product catalog you've connected with Square unless you remove the channel and connect it again by repeating the steps above.
Data Sharing on TikTok
TikTok collects customer data and browsing behavior from your store to optimize your ad targeting experience. By using tools such as Pixel, TikTok tracks the impact of your ads on your website. These tools let you receive insights from your visitors and their site behavior. This data can help measure campaign performance and better define the audience of your ad. In turn, you can improve the reach and increase conversions on your ad campaigns.

Levels of Data Sharing
To get started, you must enable data sharing and select a designated level. TikTok allows you to choose how data is collected and shared between your online store and TikTok. You have two data-sharing levels to choose from: Standard or Enhanced.
Standard uses TikTok Pixel, a tracking technology that collects and shares customers’ browsing behavior on your Square Online site. Browser-based ad blockers can prevent the pixel from collecting data.
Enhanced uses Advanced Matching, which shares personal information about your customers, including their email and phone number. This pixel also shares customer browsing behavior on your Square Online site. Browser-based ad blockers can prevent the pixel from collecting data.
