Set up Marketing Assistant
About Marketing Assistant
Marketing Assistant is an automated tool that sends you weekly and monthly reports about your customers and your email campaigns. It also sends occasional campaign suggestions to help you engage more effectively with your customers.
Before you begin
You can access the Marketing Assistant from Square Dashboard, and you must submit your phone number to activate it. From here, you can interact with Marketing Assistant through text messaging at any time while on-the-go.
Marketing Assistant is included with your Square Marketing subscription.
Set up Marketing Assistant
Sign in to Square Dashboard, then click Marketing & loyalty > Marketing.
Click Assistant.
Enter your phone number and select Enabled to receive code sent via SMS.
Enter 6-digit code and select Confirm.
Disable Marketing Assistant
Sign in to Square Dashboard, then click Marketing & loyalty > Marketing.
Click Assistant.
Toggle off Marketing Assistant Enabled.
Edit your phone number
Sign in to Square Dashboard, then click Marketing & loyalty > Marketing.
Click Assistant > Update.
Enter your phone number and select Next to receive code sent via SMS.
Enter 6-digit code and select Next.
Request a report
You can request a report whenever you'd like and Marketing Assistant will send you a summary of your active campaigns.
To receive a report, text REPORT and you will receive a link to the report.
Receive or stop Marketing Assistant educational series
As part of Marketing Assistant, we offer a series of educational text messages to help you become more knowledgeable on marketing.
You'll receive bi-weekly text messages including a link to educational articles on best practices across email marketing, social media, and more, to help you better market your business.
Start receiving educational marketing articles
Sign in to Square Dashboard, then click Marketing & loyalty > Marketing.
Click Assistant.
Under Enable Educational Marketing Articles, toggle on Educational Articles Enabled.
Stop receiving educational marketing articles
Sign in to Square Dashboard, then click Marketing & loyalty > Marketing.
Click Assistant.
Under Enable Educational Marketing Articles, toggle off Educational Articles Enabled.
