About the changes to your Square Online abandoned baskets
We recently notified you of upcoming changes to your Square Online abandoned baskets. Currently, the abandoned baskets feature lives entirely in Square Online.
Before you begin
When these changes take place, any abandoned basket emails you’ve set up in Square Online will need to be recreated in Square Marketing. To learn more, check out these Important changes to your Square Online reports.
Understand the changes
- Upgrades: you’ll have access to abandoned basket emails if you’re paying for a Square Online subscription. You won’t need a separate Square Marketing subscription to use abandoned basket emails for your website, nor will you be charged based on your number of customer contacts (ie rather than charging based on Square Marketing’s tiered pricing, you’ll have full abandoned basket email access without any other charges), and you’ll have unlimited sends of abandoned basket emails. With a Square Online paid subscription, you won’t have access to any other Marketing automations or features beyond abandoned basket emails. For additional Marketing features, you’ll need a separate paid subscription to Square Marketing.
- Downgrades: if your Square Online subscription plan is downgraded, your customers will stop getting abandoned basket emails until you reinstate your Square Online paid plan.
